Combined restorations consist of a fixed and a removable part that are joined with a clasp not seen from outside.

Usually they are made of the combination of plastic and metal. If the missing teeth can not be replaced only by a fixed bridgework, a removable prosthesis is also necessary.

The remaining teeth are covered with a crown for their own protection and to assure the perfect connection with the removable part.
