How long does a tooth implant last?

How long does the implanting procedure last?

This is a routine treatment performed within sterile circumstances. It takes about 25 minutes for the surgeon to prepare and to place one implant.

In which age is it advisable to get a dental implant?

You should be at least 16 years old. Practically between 20 and 80 years of age.

How many implants do I need?

In case of one missing tooth you need one, if you have a lateral failure, you will need 2 or 3 pieces. If you do not have any teeth, at least 2 implants are needed for a removable restoration per jaw. If the bone substance is suitable, a fixed prosthesis can be made with the help of 6-8 implants.

What are the advantages of dental implants?

The neighbouring teeth do not have to be prepared. The bone will atrophy minimally. The removable prosthesis placed on implants does not move and assures you a bigger comfort.

My bone substance is not enough for an implantation. What can I do?

There is a possibility to fill it with artifical bone material or with a piece of your own jawbone in some cases. Six months’ time is needed for the bone to heal.

Will I get teeth after the implanting?

We can make you a temporary dental prosthesis if you wish.

How will I feel with my new teeth?

The feeling will be realistic: just like your own teeth. Tooth implants give you freedom and safety in eating and speaking.
